Protecting Our Teachers, One Policy at A Time

woman-613310_640Teachers do a lot for our society, often behind the scenes. They dedicate countless hours and personal resources into their students of all ages, doing their best to ensure that their students not only master the content required, but also leave their class at the end of the year with a renewed love of learning and thirst for knowledge. While teachers do so much for us, we want to do everything we can to do our best to take care of them in return.

While most schools offer benefits packages for teachers, the policies don’t always cover everything you might need. Teachers are often a significant, or even the sole, provider in their home, and if something happens to them and renders them unable to work, their families could suffer from inadequate coverage. Disability policies that are tagged onto your generic benefits package can sometimes have limitations. If you aren’t completely sure of the details of your policy, there is no better time to find out!

If you find that your coverage is less-than-complete, Carroll Marshall Insurance is here to help. We firmly believe that ALL teachers should be provided for in the best way possible, and disability coverage is included in that. Disability coverage, at its fullest, not only helps with your care and personal recovery, but it often provides at least a portion of your lost income until you’re able to work again, or offers long-term benefits for those who are left unable to ever work in the same capacity again. These benefits help put food on the table, and keep up with other household expenses that could easily overwhelm a teacher and his/her family if they didn’t have the disability coverage.

If you are currently employed in the education system and want to make sure your benefits are adequate for your current situation and for your family, make an appointment or stop by our Winter Haven office so we can sit down with you and go over the details. If you find that you need additional coverage, we’ll work with you to find a policy that not only meets your needs, but also fits into your budget so you don’t have to worry about your finances while still making sure your family is protected.

Good luck to all of our Polk County teachers this 2017-2018 school year!
